How the classes work

Polytots lessons use games, movement, songs, art and crafts and, occasionally, French food to engage and stimulate the children. They quickly learn to understand French words and phrases, and to begin expressing themselves in French.

Polytots French classes are each based around a particular topic and, within each one, key concepts and words are repeated, in songs, as we read through picture stories together etc.. I aim to get each child to begin speaking, and singing, French words and phrases as quickly as possible. Children often don’t have the same self consciousness and inhibitions that can develop later in life, and they are typically very willing to dive in.

You are welcome to stay and join in with your child, or to stay in the same room and observe, or to not be there at all, depending on what best suits your child.
